Behind Closed Doors

Surprise! Surprise! You never know what you’ll find behind closed doors….

A short time ago I composed my Why Us! page giving you a description of what my “home-based” travel agency office looked like. I also told you that when the mood moved me to clean up the office I would then take photos to share.

The more I think about it, the more I realize it’s silly to wait until I’m in the mood to clean or to start cleaning when I’m looking for something I can’t find – I’m too busy writing posts for this blog and running a business.  Right now, I’m pretty sure I know where everything is – no need to clean.

This is the exact opposite of the rest of the house. The house is always clean. Two reasons – three actually.

• I’m a clean freak
• the house is for sale, therefore, never know when someone wants to take a peak – not too often in today’s market
• Goldie has the run of the house which means I must vacuum at least every other day – sometimes daily. She is a Golden Retriever who has no idea that she is a dog. For such a hairy animal, she doesn’t shed much, but more than I like to see…

OK…I’ve held you in suspense long enough. Before I open the doors and let you in, think of the shows you may have seen on TV. You know, the ones that take you into the inner sanctum of the talk show hosts…I’ve seen Andy Rooney’s office on 60 Minutes; Regis Philbin’s office on Regis & Kelly; and Walter Cronkite’s office many, many years ago.  I’m running a close second, but still manage to get the work done and make a few bucks here and there…

Here you go….

Believe it or not, I know where everything is.

Boxes on the floor in front of desk are travel brochures to be filed.

It will get done…not to worry!

It’s a job I like doing on a rainy Sunday afternoon – don’t know why, but I do!

If you read our Why Us! page, you’ll know the chair

between the two closet doors is:

“a chair that no one can sit upon as it, too, is full of brochures and projects in the works”

No big deal though, as it has a cane bottom in desperate need of repair.

OK…time to close up shop for the night!

Can you imagine – my husband actually wanted to replace

these doors with french doors – you know, the one’s you can see through!!!

Give me a break…
